All MYXed Up
Honestly, I don't really care. Haha! Truth is, Christian's career will continue to prosper whether he wins or not. Cool lang naman na manalo sya sa 1st Myx Music Awards, especially since Myx is the most dominant music channel in the country. Winning Myx however will not give a distinct advantage to the artist him/herself. Why? Kasi dinaan sa voting at hindi sa juror's decision. Kung baga, all quantity but little to no quality.
Why do I say this? Well for one, we really have no idea how the nominees for the categories were selected. Tulad na lang ni Ian, he's nominated for only one category while his contemporaries are nominated for more than one. Ang weird kaya na he's not nominated for mellow music... eh hello, kung mas magiging mellow pa yung kanta nya, baka sa best lullaby na sya manalo.
Another thing is the voting process in itself. I apologize to the organizers of myx, but i just don't find the voting process credible. Ok na sana yung ginawa nila na once a day lang ang voting kung tipong lahat ng tao dito sa pinas eh naka-line ang cellphone. But, hello! In a prepaid country like ours where SIM cards are a dime a dozen, it would be so easy to acquire those SIMs for voting. And that's exactly what happened. Fans of the artists nominated bought a huge number of SIM cards just to be able to vote more. But that doesn't quantify the actual number of that artist's following, rather, it is simply a showcase of who can pay more.
Tapos yun pang updates, highly suspicious. There was this one time that the 1AM update had higher numbers than the 2AM and 3 AM updates. How can that be? May right minus wrong ba dito? That can happen. But not in an hour's time. Yun ngang 20 sims lang ang gamit mo, it will take you around 30-45 minutes na just taking the sim in and out of the phone plus waiting for the confirmation text. So how is it possible to have 200 delivered just like that?
Siguro the problem is that this is Myx's first awards. Siyempre, marami pang flaws at kinks yung system. Pero sana lang, mas maging transparent pa sila sa kanilang voting process. Tsaka, the results shouldn't rely entirely on the text votes. I would think it would be better if it was 50-50 juror's votes and text votes. Yun lang naman.
But don't get me wrong, I still hope Christian would win. Sayang naman kasi lahat ng efforts natin if he doesn't. Plus, pwedeng kantsawan si ian na manlibre kung mananalo sya. Bwahahahaha!

Feeling Boy Abunda ako! Wahaha! But honestly, it's going to be an explosive easter for all those who are interested with these two, whether together or individually. Questions will finally be answered. However, you won't get the whole story from The Buzz. There's another side to this story na hindi nila nakita. But THAT is a well guarded secret.

At the Embergreen
I went to Bagaberde last night for the "Leaving on a Jetplane" despedida performance of the great acoustic band MYMP, starring of course Juris and Chin...
Is that right? hmm...
Actually, they were supposed to star the show. But somehow, someone stole more attention than this duo...
I wasn't actually supposed to go because I was (and still am) at the final threads of my budget. In fact, if you're an economics major, you'd probably plot me right on the budget line or maybe even below it. Sad state huh? Kaya lang, I really couldn't pass up the opportunity to relax and enjoy coz i had a hellish day earlier. Parang napagtripan ako ng trabaho at ng CF life ko kahapon. Kaya ayun, sugod sa Baga kahit walang laman ang bulsa.
When I got there, the place was jampacked! Woah, standing room only. Iba talaga ang MYMP. I mean kung Araneta nga napuno nila (twice!), what more if the show was held at a smaller venue like that bar? Fortunately, tito ebert and tita jo were given a VIP table (i dunno why they term it as such when you get such poor service), just outside the door to the dressing room/artist's lounge. We just stayed with them while loyse (who had fabulous wardrobe last night, kudos to you!) and the rest of the gang got a table by the side of the stage. So yun, kwentuhan na lang muna. Wala pa rin naman si Ian, nasa Warner pa raw.
When Ian arrived at the place, he wasn't guarded much. yeah may mga bouncers pero parang wala lang. Because we were seated by the dressing room, he immediately saw us. He said hi for a sec then went in coz the bouncers were already escorting him in. Nagstart na rin kumanta yung front act (shayne corpus of the born diva fame). it was around 10 by then. Mean's friend, who's-name-i-forgot-i-am-so-sorry-i-think-it's-cecil-tama-ba, had to leave already coz she was going to Alaminos, Pangasinan that night. Talagang pumunta lang siya sa Baga to see Ian and get a pic with him. Alangan namang hindi matupad ang kanyang pakay, kaya sinamahan ko na siya at si Mean sa loob ng dressing room. So picture picture muna. Then she went ahead already.
Because we were lacking seats at our table, I chose to stay inside and just hang with Ian and Tito Ebert... well also because I was mighty curious of the game Ian was playing on his laptop. It looked like starcraft (the only computer game i enjoyed apart from the standard card games of Microsoft), but ian said that it wasn't really like starcraft. He proceded to explain how the game goes. You build a tribe, make your people learn stuff like religion and governance, trade with historical figures, get eaten by lions (wahaha!), and go to war.
blood! carnage! chaos everywhere!
Ok it wasn't diablo nor counterstrike... so it didn't have much blood...
The game is called Civilization IV. Ian told me that he'd let me borrow the installer so i can play it too! Wahoo! Let the wars begin! Hathsepsut, you shall die! Washington, beware! Even Gandhi will perish! And I... I alone shall rule middle earth...
ok, i'm getting confused now... hahahah!
Going back to the happenings at Baga, it was taking eons before the front act could finish. But that was a blessing, I guess, coz Juris and Chin has yet to arrive! wala pa yung featured act and it was already past 11. Ian was becoming worried. He had a duet with Juris but they have never rehearsed it together. So, to calm his nerves and alleviate boredom as well... he played more civilization. Hahaha!
While he was looking for an ally to battle with Hathsepsut (who was actually his friend... backstabbing bastard! o baka may magreact jan ha... joke lang po), I realized that I was hungry. I remembered that i haven't eaten lunch and dinner yet. So I excused myself and went back to the group and convinced them that we should order something to eat. Eh goodluck! yung Menu dumating after 40 minutes. Menu pa lang yun ah. By the time we ordered, nagstart na kumanta ang MYMP (Juris and chin arrived just as i decided to eat). Ang masaklap nun, tapos na kumanta si ian eh wala pa yung food! So super gutom na kami nina Yum, mean, at dan.
While waiting for the food, nag-enjoy muna kami sa 1st set nina juris. 1st spiel pa lang nya, sinabi na agad ni juris na "uy, ang dami nyo ngayon ah. alam ko may hinihintay kayong iba pero mamaya tatawagin na natin sya." That's when it first entered my mind that people were there not only for MYMP but really for Ian as well. Lo and behold, when Christian was asked to come up the stage, a very warm reception was given to him. Shouts and shrills were heard from the more "kilig ako" fans. As he sang with Juris, they were listening intently. When he started his own spot, the people went wild and cheered for Invincible. Incredibly, some were also singing along... meaning they knew the song! Astig. Then ian sang EYD and TWYLAM, same thing. After these songs, Ian called MYMP back onstage. People were shouting "more," unfortunately, that was all Ian was able to prepare for his spot.
As he went down the stage, he was waylaid by so many adoring fans that it took him a good 15 minutes just to reach the dressing room. Normally, you can be there in 10 steps. That's how long it took. But that wasn't the end of it. After ian got in the dressing room, people started migrating to our area so that they may have a chance to meet and greet the balladeer themselves. Oh man! We had a hard time eating when people around us (literally), kept pushing each other to get to the entrance. Amazingly (or disconcertingly if you are an MYMP fan), some chose to leave Baga right after Christian finished his spot.
After we ate, we met up with tito ebert and tita jo to say goodbye. Aba! Ala-una na ano! at may pasok pa the next day! ang kalunos-lunos lang jan, it took us roughly an hour just to get the bill paid. we presented two credit cards (visa and mastercard), only to be told twice that they can't accept either. Ang weird coz when i asked what card do they carry they answered Visa and Mastercard. Labo talaga ng service dun! Sa sobrang tagal, nauna pa lumabas si ian from the dressing room to the location of the MTV Bling shoot (yes, his day wasn't at an end yet). Nadaanan na lang nya kami and that's where we said our goodbyes.
Sa wakas, the bill got paid. We met up with tito and tita, had some pringles, and bid them adieu. Tapos sumakay na kami ng cab home. the end.
ay sana ipost naman ni myra yung pangangarir nya kay chin... in fairness, close na sila... magkamukha na nga sila eh... parang happy couple... wahahaha!

Bashing: A Never Ending Story
I'm disgusted.
Last night, during Christian's radio session over DWRT 99.5, a tasteless question was asked thru text. "Do you prefer fake nose or fake boobs?" Christian was rendered speechless and was suddenly in a bad mood. I was outright pissed off. To a stranger, the question would have been a clever way of asking which was he more ok with, surgical enhancements with the face or the body? However, I am no stranger. I know of the subtext of the message.
I will not explain the circumstances surrounding that question. If i were to do so, i would be as cheap and as vile as the person who sent it. So why am I writing here? Coz I have a niggling feeling that I know the person who sent it is a part of the Christian Friends. Further, I have a feeling that I personally know him/her. I hope to the high heavens that i'm wrong... but i doubt it.
Regardless, I want this to be a lesson for all. I want everyone to know that an act done in bad taste shall always be admonished, if necessary, persecuted.
What was done last night was carefully considered. A direct hit so carefully planned and thought of. He/she knew that once the question was aired, those who were aware will understand. This includes Christian himself. This only makes the act even more distasteful. Please remember that this group is a no bashing group. Such act so cleverly concealed and so stupidly done is an outright violation of the rules we all live by. Hiding a crime under simpler guise does not make it any less of a crime. By my standards, whoever did this should be cut off from the group... permanently. Thank your freaking gods that that decision does not lie with me alone.
You might wonder why i'm reacting so vehemently against something that was not directly aimed at me. Simple, an attack to the group is an attack to me personally. And how is this an attack to the group? For your imbecilic mind, let me delineate my role in this group. One of my tasks as an administrator is to ensure that proper decorum is observed within the group at all times, to keep the name of the Christian Friends clean and full of pride. What you did besmirches the regal status of our name. We pride ourselves to be a bash-free zone in our site, yahoogroup, and other public avenues. Clearly, a radio show broadcasted over the whole of manila and worldwide thru the internet constitutes a "public avenue". Sure, no names were mentioned, but only people as idiotic as yourself will not come to the right conclusion. The act therefore violates this specific rule of the group. It is such a shame that I am sure you are aware of this policy otherwise you wouldn't have bothered to conceal your real intent.
We will try to track down who sent the message and if I find out that i am right, that you are indeed a CF, I will personally make it my battle to get you out. Digital technology helps, thank goodness. If you're not, then good thing. At least the others in this group will know what the repercussions for such irresponsible actions are.
If you have that much guts to ask the question, you should have the right amount of bravura to come out and admit that you did it. You owe Christian and the Christian Friends one hell of an apology. I hope you realize that.
I stop here. It would be futile to continue and communicate with a lesser being. I just needed to vent my frustrations. I hope evolution shall catch up quick with you and you might learn how to understand the amount of harm you've done.

PLDT My Music
This text came from ian out of the blue. I didn’t know what to say so I just replied
“Ok…”-jude
After a few more seconds, my mind started working and I realized that there was a subliminal message to the one he sent me, which completes it to something like
“I am at wave now pldt live chat [tune in and ask everyone to listen too]”-ian, (additional words supplied by the author, but you already know that.)
So I sent a message to some folks whom I knew would spread the word
“Ian at Wave now. Pls pass.”-jude
Sure enough, I got several messages afterwards bearing the same text I sent. Thanks again to all those dependable people.
Ian began singing one of his songs (invincible, I think). Unfortunately, you can barely hear him coz the music was drowning his voice so I sent jhune a message.
“Jhune, nalulunod boses ni ian sa sound.”-jude
To which jhune replied
“tawag kayo dito.”-jhune
I said,
“ok. Ano number?”-jude
He replied,
“101123”-jhune
So, I picked up the landline and dialed the number. Aba! Kala ko number lang ng Wave. Pldt My music na pala! Mahal pala yun! 50 bucks! But since I was already being charged, might as well go through with it. I was put on hold by an automated response machine (it was nice by the way, listening to snippets of ian’s 1st album while waiting). I texted jhune again coz I heard that the DJ was hoping to see us again that night. Why? Coz we spilled stuff on Ian first time he was there. Apparently, she remembered us. I can’t say the same for me… I didn’t remember her name. Hehe.
“jhune, ano nga ulit name nung dj?”-jude
“pam”-jhune
“ang tagal ko nang nakahold dito ah.”-jude (I wasn’t listening intently to the registration process, ergo, I didn’t know whether I was being billed 50/call or 50/minute… I hope it’s the former)
“pang-ilan ka? 2 lng nkahold d2.”-jhune
“ewan. Basta sabi lang nakahold daw ako.”-jude
Just after I sent that message, a voice talked to me and said
“hi!”-voice
“hi, uhm, is this pldt live chat? The one with Christian Bautista?”-jude
“yes”-voice (monosyllabic answers yata ang training sa taong ito)
“ah ok. Are you pam?”-jude
“no.”-voice (see… monosyllabic replies lang yata talaga)
“ok”-jude (nakigaya na lang ako)
After a while she talked to me again, asking me
“what’s your name?”-voice (aba, three syllables yun ah! But then again, she wasn’t answering a question)
“jude.”-jude (duh!)
“jude, ikaw na susunod after this call ha. I’ll just put you on hold.”-voice
“ok, thanks.”-jude
Right then, I almost began to panic… what the heck am I going to ask ian that I don’t already know and wouldn’t make him kill me if I ask. Ah! Heaven opened and blessed me… I’ll just cue ian to talk about the foundation! Meanwhile, as I was having this epiphany, the girl who was currently on air was detailing all the stuff she knows about Ian.
When I finally was on air, I said hi to pam first and told her I was one of the CFs who went there before. Ian then said that I sounded familiar (it’s a joke of course cause we never met… bwahahaha). I then told him that I also knew a lot about him and asked him if he wanted me to share the info. His answer was a resounding
“No!”-ian
So basically, all I did was laugh and greet people (mean was the 1st to ask if I could greet her over the radio). Then when ian asked me what was up, I cued him to talking about the foundation. Thank God he got it so my only job was to say “yeah!” At some point however he asked what the full name of the foundation was again so I answered
“The Christian Bautista and Friends Foundation Inc.”-jude (naks naman! May pawndeysyon!)
Then Ian went on about how we were no longer just a fan club and invited everyone to join us in our activities. For some weird reason, however, all the callers had to sing with him on air! I wasn’t told about this! I thought the girl who called before me did it to win an autographed CD. Since it was evident that I knew ian personally and thus already had one, I thought that I would be exempt from the singing. I guess not! But should I really expose my hidden talent (which in my opinion should remain hidden, buried under the earth together with Pandora’s Box, to be exposed only in times of shower and occasional magicsing sessions with friends)? I tried changing the topic, but ian saw right through it….dang! So he suggested I sing TWYLAM since we gave him that Heartfelt tribute and all. Earth to Ian, I am neither ned nor aina… I hosted in that part not sang in it. But, of course I gave in. Hahaha! Pakipot pa eh no? I sang the first two lines of the chorus and stopped. Ian however urged me on to finish the whole thing so I did. After that, a few more laughs and greetings and I said bye. I didn’t finish the show anymore coz PBB was already starting. I just texted ian asking if I won the CD. Haha!
Daming nagtext… gushing about how good I was and that I should already sign a record deal with warner… Uy, nagfi-feeling. Hahahaha. Pero di nga, dami nagtext. It was fun while I did it. It’s been so long since I did that, calling over the radio I mean. 1st year high school pa lang ako nung huli kong gawin yun.
When we saw each other the next day at the Pavillion, Ian informed me that I did win the CD and that he’ll get it for me if I won’t be able to come next Friday… Hello?! Kukunin ko kaya. We actually have an office at the 3rd floor of the building where Wave is located. Kaya next week, live na ako sa radio! Wahoo! Wait for my guesting ha! Tapos call in to talk to me na lang and not Ian. Hahahaha!
That’s all, folks! I thank you… bow.
Coz there’s something in the way you look at me
It’s as if my heart knows you’re the missing piece
You make me believe that there’s nothing in this world I can’t be
I never know what you see but there’s something in the way you look at me
I’d better give ricky ilacad that return call he’s expecting regarding the details of my recording contract.
“Whatever!”-jude

The Mega Nostalgia
This day was fun! Man, I never thought I'd enjoy it but, surprisingly so, I did... I really did!Maybe because it was a grand trip down memory lane, or maybe because I was in the presence of the Megastar, or maybe because Christian gave standout performances...
or maybe because i was still hung up with the roller coaster ride?
The whole day is a roller coaster ride in itself. We were given complimentary tickets the night before by the beautiful people of Stages (salamat po!). So we decided to watch the Mega Valentine Concert. I was quite prepared to miss it coz, honestly speaking, i'm not much of a fan of a singing sharon cuneta. I love her acting in movies but not singing. I have to admit though that once upon a time i thought she was the best singer in the Philippines (at the time, whitney houston was the best singer in the world for me). Mom's influence is mainly to blame. I mean we used to go to every movie of mega shaui and was even there in one of The Sharon Cuneta Show's anniversaries at the Folk Arts (around the time she was hooked up with Richard Gomez, i think). Pero kasi, as you grow older, you realize that her voice is not exactly the best. Then when you grow even older, you notice that her singing style is not stupendous either. And so, for me, the brightness of the "singing Sharon Cuneta" waned.
So anyway, I decided to watch the concert. Free tix eh! i didn't care that i was near tangency to my budget line... that is, nearing break-even point. Or should that be "I'm broke" point? I don't really remember... i refuse to include bad words in my vocabulary. Too bad they tend to come up regularly, especially during the last days of a salary period.
I digress.
So I decide to watch the concert. And had low finances. very low. so i text yumyum to borrow some cab fare home just in case. lo and behold, she was in a worse situation than i was. hahahaha! I almost, at that point, surrendered and stayed home... but the pull of those tickets... so i still go to Araneta. In my wallet was a grand total of 210 buckeroos. i had to drop by the Podium in ortigas to fetch yum. Then we both went to the araneta (too bad it wasn't walking distance). When we got there we immediately texted jhune for our tix. We were told to go to the South Gate/ Artist's gate. I didn't know that it was directly across Fiesta Carnival. I watched with lustful eyes the fun the people were having aboard the roller coaster (a really small coaster ride that one). So when jhune came, this was after quite a while, i got in my devious mind that we will ride the coaster... we, meaning yum and i. me because i wanted to, yum because she has never ridden one... and was not entirely too thrilled with the idea. nevertheless, i prevailed. so we crossed the street, bought our tickets and rode the coaster! man, it was nice... nothing too scary unfortunately. it's quite small afterall.
So after we rode, we went to gateway to waste some time (since wasting money was no longer an option after the coaster ride). We started texting everybody when they'll arrive. that's when we knew that ms.m, elvie, cha, and shirley were no longer coming. Sayang ang tix! oh well. So balik na kami sa araneta to get some seats. we were shocked... there were a lot of vacant ones! this was a sharon cuneta concert, why are there vacant seats?? nevertheless, we went to look for the best one, which was practically at the opposite side of where we entered. Just as we sat, migs informed us that he was there at the entrance already, so that meant going out again. Thank god there was an exit close to where we were now sitting. so we went out and circled the whole araneta. We took the wrong side! we had to walk along the whole perimeter of the araneta just to locate where the ticket gate is. after migs entered, we realized that we were only an exit away if we took the right direction (there were 8 so you could just imagine how far we walked... for nothing).
After we were settled in our concrete seats, we chatted for a while. Then dan texted us that he was already there. We went to fetch him and bought food as well. Dan called some of his housemates to join us since we had so many excess tickets. Then we went back inside. Dan's folks came in after sometime and the endless wait ensued. It was already 9pm when the show started. Sharon sang a fast number which, i think, was not good. Thankfully, she switched to senti mode after that song. And valentines begun. Hits from the carpenters, manilow, etc. filled the air. When she had her duet with Ian, we were so pleased with ian's performance. Ang galing. Then Ian sang EYD. Sadly, not many people knew the song. Some on the other hand knew it but didn't know he sang it.
Then Sharon went back again. This time she recognized some of the people in the audience like faith cuneta whom she hasn't seen since faith's childhood. Then there was robin padilla who was seated so far from the stage. And i do mean far. he was actually one row away from the Gen Ad! He was later escorted down and had a short stint at the stage which made sharon laugh. Then sharon sang again. Called on Boyet de Leon to join her as her next guest. Bad idea, Mr. De Leon is a fine actor but a really bad singer. I mean, he has a nice enough voice but definitely not araneta material. You can barely comprehend the lyrics of the songs he sang. Buti na lang sharon came back with a bang by singing Wag mong sasabihin by kitchie. she even synched with her guitarist to look as if she was the one playing. she later admitted that she forgot her guitar lessons from her youth.
She then gave tribute to the Ultra victims by singing the prayer/you raise me up again with Christian Bautista. Galing ulit ni ian. Si sharon naman, ok din. Tapos solo ulit sya for some songs and called on kuh for a nice nice duet. ganda ng version nila ng wind beneath my wings. When sharon came back she was wearing a gown made by kuh herself. unfortunately, kuh didn't like the way sharon wore it.. di daw tama ang effect. so when she went back to do another duet with sharon, she brought with her some safety pins and adjusted the gown on sharon! on stage! after she was done, they called on boyet and ian again to do this pacute number with her and kuh. My golly! boyet was wearing banana-yellow coat and tie! akala ko talaga anytime eh lalabas si kiko matsing para habulin sya. yun pala, nasa theme yung suot nya kasi magkakulay si kuh tapos sharon changed to a gown that had yellow accents. pero naman talaga yung kay boyet! ang saklap... sing saklap ng pagkanta nya!
then they all sang closing songs na... upbeat ones. again, not so good. ewan, boring yung mga upbeats ni sharon eh. just before she bid adieu, she sang two of her classics, mainly bituing walang ningning and sana'y wala nang wakas. In fairness, i liked it ha! hahahaha! beautiful songs talaga.
when the show ended, dan, yum, and i went to the south gate to meet with ian. Yum and i were supposed to ride with him home. On our way there, however, we met Gino, Sir David, and Sam Concepcion (yey! been a while since i last saw that kid). Hellos were exchanged and we went on our way to ian's car. Tito ebert managed to get us in so that we can meet up with ian. Shin was also there so i said hi. Then usap usap with tita jo, kuya carlo, tito ebert (who, btw, lost his fone), ian, jhune, tita russel. After that, umalis na rin kami kasabay nina tito ebert. di na daw kami masasabay ni ian coz sharon invited everyone for dinner.
anyway, that ended the night kasi nag-uwian na kami. it was nice enough the concert. sharon is a lot better a performer than a singer. she made the araneta feel as if it's an intimate venue. sana lang di nag-guest si big bird... este si boyet pala. hahahaha!

The Big Bash
Where: Sangkalan Grill, Scout Albano QC
When: Feb. 5, 2005, Sunday
RSVP"
No one attended...
Yeah right...
Haha! Well, it's like this really, nagkwekwentuhan kami nina yumyum at dan sa starbucks sa Pearl drive... can't say what about. hehe! tapos naisip ko na kailangan magkaroon ng celebration for romey and dayds and shan by feb. 5. kasi nga bday ni rome at dayds tapos si dayds uwi na by the 6th at Feb 4 naman ang dating ni ian for indo so the 5th lang yung possible day. tawag agad, kay elvie, kay ian, kay kuya carlo, kay elvie... syempre gamit ang portable landline ni dan... cellphone yata tawag dun...
so anyway, initial plans were made that night, like gifts for the celebrators, tentative venue, invitee list, responsibilities, cost sharing, etc. So everything was set... we had to make sure that only dan and elvie will send the invites so that there would be no confusion and to ensure the surprise element for the celebrators.

The Celebrators
One of my tasks were to take care of the gift for Shan. Initially, we decided to make a mosaic for her... similar to the heartfelt poster mosaic given to ian. unfortunately because of the time constraint, we decided to drop the mosaic and settle for a collage. i personally designed the collage. when it was time for printing, the printer (the only one i know open until midnight on a saturday) had no artist! Oh no! where to print??? thank god i was able to have it printed there... only not using a photopaper but a sticker! wahoo! good enough for me.

The gift
the next day (actual day), yum and i met at rob galleria to have the pic framed and the balloons made. then we went to sangkalan... (migs got a bit frantic knowing that we were supposed to be there by 2 and we were at EDSA by 2:50... probably coz he thought the food would be delayed... and he was hungry)
slowly, people trickled in... then boisterous welcomes and hugs were exchanged! pasalubongs were given, bday gifts, pichur-pichur, more pichur-pichur... then the food came! time to eat! sa wakas!
Oh yeah, andun na si ian maaga pa lang...
anyway, going back to the food... yummy naman... still prefer gerry's though. tapos ng kainan, kwentuhan, tawanan, asaran, parinigan. hahahaha! RSVP kaya! hahaha!!! then more pics... and i do mean more...

Some of the 10-shot pics
Saya no?
may iba pang mga nangyari pero di ko na ikukwento... like settling the bill (i mean who needs to read that di ba??).
Well, we were wrapping the rome-dayds-shan bash when, in a conversation, ian recommended that we watch Walk the Line. He said it was good. So we discussed it among ourselves (those who still didn't want to go home yet), and decided to watch it. It was actually in our list of i-wanna-watch movies. Ian's recommendation just gave the movie a final push ahead of Proof.
So goodbyes were said and we all went our way. From Sangkalan, we walked to Mo. Ignacia to catch some cabbies. Then we went to G4 na to watch Walk the line... in fairness maganda. Reese witherspoon was sooooooooo good! never knew she had that kind of acting in her. nasanay na siguro sa dumb blonde acting roles nya. hahaha!
anyway, yan na lang blog ko... tamad ko ngayon no? wala lang... sleepy eh. hehe!

The Party...

Great party!!! Why? I was able to play taboo!!! wahoo!!! hahahaha!
But seriously, it was cool. Sayang, not everyone was able to come (including mr. balladeer, kung anu-ano kasi kinakain eh!), but that's ok... bawi na lang next time, right? (nag-usap na kami ni ian, he's hosting the CF anniv party on March... for once, pupunta lang kami!)
anyway, i want to send my heartfelt thanks to all those who went and made the party happen (birthday ko???):
- to the birthday celebrators-- Migs, Cha, and Jo -- thanks a lot! Lola cha, chocs were yummy! wala akong nauwing maja!!! waaah!!!
- to ms. lorns, gosh! birthday mo rin? you spent more than all of us combined for this party... you have such a good and generous pocket... i meant heart. ;) hehe.
- to all our photographers, siggy, ivy, rizzie, yumyum, cha... thanks for capturing our excitement and the fun we had... thanks for capturing our beauty... most importantly, thanks for capturing... me!
- to all the behind the scenes peeps--jon/shan for booking, migs/elvie for invites-- salamat, salamat! this wouldn't have been possible without you!
- to everything that made it fun... taboo, charades, pinoy genio, shageddy, magicsing... we all owe so much from you... thanks for being invented.
- to everyone who came... thanks for the experience! hope this will happen again soon (calling on dayds and jerome... bday nyo di ba? hahahaha!)
i won't post pics anymore. just visit the links ivy, sig, cha, and rizzie posted over our YG!
'til next!

Of mallshows...
ever experienced joining the CF caravan in one of ian's mallshows? masaya! in fairness... kasi you get to chat lang sa likod while ian's singing onstage. tapos after, pag signing na, you become an automatic events assistant. one's giving away paper slips to write names on, another's urging the people in line to open their CDs for a more efficient signing, then there's the crowd control keeping the stage traffick at two-at-a-time, one's a photographer, another one's an exit usher. siyempre di mawawala ang food. they come abundantly and free during mall shows... ako, may themesong na for this (may pakiramdam akong themesong na rin ito ni Gino):
(to the tune of Rachel Alejandro's Nakapagtataka)
Hindi ka ba napapagod
O di kaya'y nagsasawa
Sa dami ng chicket at spag
Wala na bang katapusan
Ang dami na ngang tira, di ba
Sa hawaiian at sisig pizza
Wala man lang bang lasagna?
Wala na, wala na kong malasahan
Kung tunay tayong magkaibigan
Ba't di mag-yumburger naman
Wooh, Oh-no-oh ooh...
Tinopak na naman ako... hahaha! i love greenwich kaya!

sleep deprived... *hint hint*
i went and watched Master Showman Presents Walang Tulugan!
"o what shame ye has brought upon us"- shan, yum, ms.m, lara, ria, mich
"i beg thee pardon, but i cannot seem to stop myself from discussing this folly! Nay, especially not when something good came of it. Thoust deny this fact when thee, thyselves, celebrated upon the observation of the Phenomenon?"-jude
"nay, we don't, but we doth not advertise it either as you do writing this blog"- shan, yum, ms.m, lara, ria, mich
yes, i admit to this... i watched walang tulugan... live! (sounds of thunder clap roar as youo read this part)
hahaha! yeah we did watch it. but as i said, something good came out of it. and no it has nothing to do with Christian singing EYD live nor being in his presence (been there done that lots of times already). it has something to do with the Phenomenon.
you see, we were all patiently waiting for ian to emerge from the make up room. while passing time, we decided to count all the people who actually had a semblance of popularity... meaning artists we actually know. There was jestoni, marvin, lilet, anna roces... then lo and behold! the phenomenon opened the door and came along. it was... Dennis Trillo! i call him the phenomenon coz he suddenly made us stop, mouths agape, and think of one name alone...
"carlene aguilar!!!"
joke!
of course, it's shaui!
so i immediately started calling shaui... she doesn't answer! oh... sayang! then we tracked dennis to the make up room but he wasn't there! only ian was there! (well maybe not just ian coz jestoni was there and some other non-entities but they're not the focus of this story) so we had to tell ian why we were there... we said shaui! hahaha! we said we were looking for dennis trillo to get a pic for shaui. ian was befuddled for a sec and then he said "oh yeah..." realizing about dennis trillo and shaui (aba! parang may past!)
soon enough, ian was called in and we watched him croon EYD. then all of us back to the dressing room. while waiting for a chance to bid him goodbye, dennis was outside begging us to take his pic... like anyone would believe that! haha! no, he was by the door, very nicely standing there. we asked if we could take his pic and he graciously said yes. so we did! i immediately sent it to shaui but unfortunately, she didn't get it... don't worry lola, send ko ulit sa yo.

(sampler ng pic ni DT)
and so we bid ian adieu and went to megamall to buy a digicam... the end!
(bored ako kaya tinapos ko na agad... hehe!)

Getting the cake and eating it too... by january that is
Is christian coming? I hope so, but i wouldn't want to get my expectations up in case he can't come. But i'm actually happy to know of this uncertainty of his attendance. Why? Coz those who would be coming are really friends and not just some oggling-opportunity-seekers who would surely drop by if they know Ian's there. No offense meant but some events are really more special when there is a real bond of friendship between the participants.
I'm not saying that this party is an exclusive affair. Nope. It's for all CFs. But i just want to make sure that those who would be there truly care about the group and are truly willing to be part of the group and not just be a free loader.
I'm not discriminating against newbies who, i realize, might be affected by this post. All i'm saying is that being a part of the group means commitment, assurance. Commitment to all our ideals (whether you actively participate or not), and assurance that when the need arises and we call on you, you will be there to help. It doesn't matter if you these commitments and assurances come in the future, for as long as you're willing to give them, you're welcome.
What i'm saying is that the party is NOT a fans day. It's a FRIENDS day, those who are willing to be our friends and whom we consider as friends are most welcome to the party.
I'm babbling... i don't even know why i wrote this since i'm in a good mood today.. hahaha!
whatever, just ignore me.
Ciao!

completely...
I'm quite sure that by now whoever is reading this already has a copy of ian's new album... completely. Don't you just love it? From the excellent vocals to the beautiful musical arrangements to the rockin' packaging, the album all but shouts "I'm international material!!!" By the way, did you guys notice that majority of the compositions in this album was written by international composers? Andrew Fromm (of TWYLAM fame) is back with four of his gifts: Completely, Everything You Do, I Could Love You Easy, and She Could Be. Andy Rianto from Indonesia entrances us with his beautiful songs: Since I Found You and For Everything I am. Invincible, After You, and My Heart Has a Mind of Its Own also come from foreign composers. But probably the most exciting news about the album is that Christian himself has two compositions in. He just proves that he has more music in him than just his voice.
Oh yeah, there's also Greenwich's Nais Ko... which is quite anticlimactic if you ask me... i like the song enough but somehow it doesn't fit with how the songs were selected arranged in the album... it's like a sore thumb that sticks out... why greenwich did not just produce their own CD then have us gobble a family size primo pizza in under one minute to get it is beyond me.... to do so would make more sense.
Bad me... bad me....
Hahaha!
That's it for now... i've a contract to write. Hope I can come back here soon.... the next entry? SHIN-IAN ISSUE... not! hahaha! no comments for that ish... it's not my life to tackle. zip. but if anyone of value asks me my opinion, well there's a different matter. hahahaha!
bye!

The Indonesian Experience (Joy)
Joy's turn...
My Blog: 16th August 2005 (Tuesday).
"MEETING IAN & KUYA CARLO FOR 1ST TIME"
Where to start, how to express what I’m feeling? What are the right words to use to express what happened and how to tell you all how everything occurred? I don’t know………..hahaaha!! It was all a blur I think………no just joking…. ?
That day (15th Aug. Monday) we were supposed to meet Ian and Kuya Carlo at the hotel Hyatt at the café there, but then Steph got a txt from Dita (Warner music contact person) that the meeting place was changed to a restaurant called Chatterbox in Plaza Indonesia (the shopping section). Plaza Indonesia is the mall that was connected to the hotel. So I traveled from home to Plaza Indonesia. It was jammed on the roads and I was worried that I wasn’t going to get to the meeting place on time. But you know what? I was the 1st one there hahaaha so I booked a table for eight and waited for the rest to come.
First ones in were Steph and Nita. Their faces were like ‘is he here yet?’ I was like "Hi!!" nope not yet!! Then they came to the table and sat down. I said "here, here fill this in, fill this in….." They were like "what??" I said "It’s a card that I made for Ian from the three of us. Quick fill it in before they get here!" So they did and I don’t know what they wrote but only Ian knows because he’s got the card. ? Not long after that two other girls that I invited came Mariska and her friend Rina. We got to chat for a while and was telling each other to get ready. I think it was not long after the two got there the rest came.
First in was Kuya Carlo he was like waving to us and we waved back and then Ian, David(Warner Music contact) and Ido (body guard) came in. We all stood up and went to them. I was like "hi Kuya Carlo!! It’s finally great to meet you!!" he was like "hi!". And then I went to Ian and said "hi Ian!!" and said "you look tired" ? he was like "yeah I am…" and then I got to know David and Ido as well. Ido was coughing that day so he said I’ll sit away from you all…I was like "no you’re not! I booked a table for all of us….so what if you’re coughing there’s medicine so if we catch it we’ll go to the pharmacy for some meds hahaahahahahaha!!!" They laughed…. ? was just trying to make everyone feel at ease.
Then we all sat down….ordered food and I started to take pics etc hahahaha!! As you can all see in cbr…..I’ll post some more soon! ? promise!! I guess I was just star-struck I think coz well I was rather distant and quiet…..besides just observing Ian and Kuya Carlo the whole time ahhahaaha!!! The other girls were quiet too! Steph was the chatty one ahahhahaa!! I really hope Ian and Kuya Carlo didn’t think I was quiet coz I didn’t want to talk to them or anything but I guess I was just blown away that I was actually there in the midst of them both….after so long in liking Ian’s music and the man himself, everything,…………..I now was actually sitting at the SAME table with him and Kuya Carlo!!! Awesome!!! Hahahahaa!!! But actually you all know the real me….bubbly and jumpy!! Hahaahaha!! But I was none of that, on that day…….ahhahaha!!
We gave Ian the gifts that we brought and he was like "gosh this is like a birthday party!" and we were all laughing hahahaa!!! ? They enjoyed the food and I especially enjoyed the whole atmosphere it was really relaxed and fun…..as if we all already knew each other……really a close knit feeling. I was so thankful afterwards that after Ian left to go for his haircut, the girls n I were left there and then out of the blue I started to cry….well not a full blown cry but sniffles and some tears, and Steph gave me a hug and Nita did too…. Silly me for crying…hahahaaha!! ? somehow I felt a loss after he left….. then I said "I miss them already….." ? and the girls went its ok its ok really Joy…… hahahaaha! Then me and Steph said bye to everyone and left together….We were like "where to now??" I said "let’s just walk around…..I hardly get time for myself these days to just walk around and chat". She was like "ok!" So we walked and talked and reminisced about what had happened and out of the blue (btw we both forgot that Ian was having his haircut there too….) we walked into Kuya Carlo and he said "Hi!" we were like quiet for a while and surprised and we both looked at each other and said "oh yaaaaaa………" hahahahaa!! Ian was having his hair cut at the same place….so Steph and I said "hi Ian" and we continued to chat with Kuya Carlo…..
Then Steph said to me "sis take a pic of him"….I was like "are you sure its ok??" She was like take it anyways! When are you going to catch him cutting his hair??? Hahaahaha!! So I did and I will post them for you (unless Steph beats me to it and has already posted them, then you’ll see them too)…… After that we said bye to Ian and Kuya Carlo and Ian said "where are you off to now?" we replied "oh just walking around maybe…." Then he said "I’ve got some stuff to do so see you ok?" and we also replied "ok bye!! Take care!!" and that was it! He left and that was the last time we saw Ian and Kuya Carlo.
I was in the clouds hahahhaaha!! Seriously it took me a long time to get over what happened and I spent half the night looking over the pics I took over and over again and asking myself, did that happen??? Seriously???? Haahahaha!!! Anyways OF COUSE it DID!!! Yeheyyyyyyyyy!!! I finally got to meet the person I admire and adore!!! So this is my very short blog for you all to read….I hope it was detailed enough…..
All I can say is I want to see Ian again and I hope to chat a LONG time with him and Kuya Carlo again the next time they are here again!! Thank you SO MUCH Ian and Kuya Carlo!! You were both great to get to know and so pleasant!!! Thank you!!! Thank you CFs so much!!! All your help made all this possible!! I’ll never forget it!! Thank you!!
Love ya all!! Joy!

The Indonesian Experience (Steph)
ian, kuya carlo, ido (his bodyguard) & david (warner indo) arrived couple mins late cause of miscommunication problem. while we're waitin for them in the restaurant but they're waiting for us in their hote (we as in joy, mariska, nita, oops-i-forgot-her-name & me)l! haha! well, they came anyways! =)
kuya carlo came in first, ready for a handshake, i traded it for a hug, hahaha! i think i saw ian sniggerin or smt, haha! anyways, i hugged ian & him when they came in. we took our seatings & ian sat beside me!!! haha! well, he's like "i'm so hungry! i havent eaten breakfast" haha! surprisingly, i was chatty & not the least starstruck! haha! weird! well, the food took a long time, so before that we had our drinks first so we just chat & chat =) anyways, he ordered.. er... *takin out the receipt* roast duck noodle & chicken rice. kuya carlo ordered fried kway tiao & chicken rice too. i forgot wat the rest ordered, haha! anyways, besides the chicken rice, neither of them finished the other dishes cause it was spicy! hehe! *kuya carlo's face went bright red, like he's blushin, cute! haha!* they were apologisin to me cause they didnt finish their dishes (i picked up their tab, maybe tt's why the felt bad! ian gave me this, i dunno how to call it, it's not a pat or anything, he did smt to my back to thank for lunch! haha!)! haha!
ian took my cell & looked through my pictures. he showed everyone the most embarrassin pic ever... haha! i took a pic of a model, he's topless *MIND U HE'S WEARING PANTS* but i only took the top part. so ian like showed the rest the picture darnit! hahaha! he wanted to see my cam but i told him there aint any pictures in it & he just put it back down immediately, hahaha!
we also showered him with gifts, kuya carlo & i agreed it's more of like a bday party! hahah! ian asked us to sing a bday song cause who knows they might give us like cakes or ice creams! hahaha! we didnt! haha! well, kuya carlo got chocolates! ian got this batik top & a traditional indonesian mask from the rest. joy gave him this christianity book too. i gave him another matchin bracelet (i gave him 2 previously) & i put it on on him! hehehe!! i gave him another top too (i was soo worried it's too small til he said it'll fit after openin it up, haha!)! haha! well, the CF's chocs were also passed to ian to passed to u guys, haha!
ian & i talked quite alot actually, which was amazing & u have no idea how glad i am!!! hahaha! we talked from me studyin in the states, to his acting to the CFs to bahasa to future plans to omagod (i saod "omagosh!" den ian went "omagod omagosh omagosh!"!! hahaha! he talked bout one of the weirdest thing a fan did was pinch his cheeks & an indon fan brushed his legs before! muahahhaa!!! anyways, i asked if i could do pinch his face too, he stared at me for a sec or 2 & went no! hahaha! den he's like "i stared at u there for a second!" hahaha! den i laughed my butt off, he "poked" me on the hips *it's like tt tickling action thing, haha*!! ian mentioned i'm alike with therese *aka rizzie* and i'm like, well she's my "mom"!! hahaha!
well at the last 10 mins, the pics & cameras just started flyin outta our bags! haha! i had the idol pics printed out for him to sign today, man was ian & kuya carlo surprised i got them! haha! ian's like, "how'd u get this! i just emailed this out yesterday!" hahaa! ian manage to sign neatly & lookin up to pose for a pic, he's like "oh i'm used to it!" hahaha! i didnt take much pics cause i was too busy talkin to ian but joy did her snaps! haha! anyways, when he's bout to leave, i hugged all 4 of the guys goodbye (yes, even the bodyguard, haha!) and just before he stepped out, he reached his arms out and kinda like group hugged me & joy. i clung on his waist like a koala *though my foot never left the ground, hahaha!*! he's soo tiny! haha! den a waiter came along to ask for autographs, haha! it wasnt after that that i realise people were looking at us! hhahaha! anyways, i said, i could go on like this forever and everyone laughed at me, so i didnt think before i said it! hahaha!!
well, after that joy & i seperated with the CFs too to go shoppin, den we saw them again outside toni & guy and ian's in it styling his hair! joy & i chatted with kuya carlo til he got his hair done, haha! he didnt look that bad but when i didnt think he like it! he said a sarcastic thanks when i said he looks nice! hahaha! well, he's still sweet bout it, thankin the stylist & all! den we said our final goodbye & left. they had to rush to a tv interview too anyways. haha! but they didnt leave before another group of salesgirl went over & asked ian for autographs! hehehe!
after that i went to the this shop that i visit so often i know the people there! haha! anyways i asked them if any of them are ian's fans and the girls there all shouted yeh! hahaha! so i offered them some autographed pics. they were SOOOO hyped up & they kepy cursin me & joy cause we're so close to ian! hahaha! they didnt even believe us when we said we had lunch with him! haha! when i said i sat beside him, they all gave me the i-wanna-strangle-u look! hahaha! anyways, after that joy & i went to get the pics taken developed! =) quick eh? haha! anyways, we left after gettin the pics. this is a not-so-short-yet-it's-not-everything story of wat happened today. wat can i say? 1stly, thanks to ian, kuya carlo & warner indo for makin today such an awesome incredible day, i really appreciate it sooo sooo much! 2ndly, to the CFs, none of this is possible without u guys either! lurve ya!! and last but certainly not the least, just wanna say.. dreams DO come true!! =)

"Private" Conversations
well, it started with a conference invite. Ian and I just began chatting when i was invited to a conference created by dana. i knew what this meant, so my first post there was "invited ba si ian dito?" and of course dana said "ang galing talaga ni kuya jude." so i invited ian in. his and hellos were exchanged.
the conversation drifted to (among many others... it was really an aimless conversation... what's new?) ian's guesting at a talk show aired over RCTI. joy, one of the indonesian CFs, joined a contest on this show to spend a day with our balladeer... unfortunately she lost... to keke.
and for the love of whatever, riz and i just couldn't help ourselves and commented on the name.
riz: if it's any consolation for Joy, she has a better name.
me: exactly, riz, i was just thinking why would parents name their daughter keke
steph: it sounds like ok ok, maybe they want a daughter who listens
riz & I: not in Filipino
needless to say, steph's curiosity was piqued... we refused to tell her what it was... then ian got into the conversation with...
ian: wat d heck
still, we were adamant to tell steph... until the balladeer himself (somewhat) educated her with:
ian: it's actually a part of you.
you know what, i'm not doing a good job of this blog... why don't you just click on the links below to read the convo for yourself... guaranteed to make you laugh... not for the weakhearted... not for minors too... hehehe
(p.s. sorry the first page is sooo crumpled... hehe)

AA: Auction Adventure
Yesterday was marked a new experience with the balladeer... bidding in an auction. Nope, we didn't go to an aution house or some dingy museum to purchase a rare Malang collectible. It was a simple transaction over ebay.ph riddled with fiascos left and right. hahaha.
well it started simply enough. I was surfing through ebay.ph looking for VERY CHEAP PDAs (capitalized in case somebody who reads this makes an offer... yep, i'm still looking for one). i then saw an item that struck my interest-- a usb lamp. Why? well, ian was looking for one last saturday (see Sarap ka-Movie post). I texted ian and asked if he wanted to check out the item since it was very cheap at 380 pesos. Knowing how busy he is, I also asked him if he wanted me to transact for him should he like the item. He replied by saying "Pesos na? Cge." So i asked him what his maximum bid was. "500" was the answer.
so i logged on and posted 450 as initial bid (don't bid your max amount agad... leave some room in case someone challenges you). wow... top bidder. great.
after a few hours, ian followed up.
ian: kamusta lamp natin
me: tayo highest bidder. after 7 hours pa. mamaya pa yung deadline eh.
ian: ah ok. sige, just let me know kung magbago
me: alright
(somehow this conversation makes me think of GMA's "hello, Garci"... like "hello, jude, nanalo na ba... ah sir hindi pa eh, mamaya pa closing ng [uncomprehensible]... ah ganun ba, sige sabihan mo lang ako, basta we have to win this... ok, sir...." me and my overactive imagination talaga!)
after another set of hours, i went home, bought an internet card, planned to monitor the last leg of the auction. when i got home, i found my sister on the phone... "oi, i need the fone, later ka na. i need to monitor an auction." "eh hindi kaya nag-oopen pc mo."
i was like "whaaaatttt? noooooooo!" while crying buckets and buckets of chicken... tears... i meant tears! damn i was hungry! (dream sequence ha! don't take literally! joke lang po ito!)
so i went to the pc and tried to open it... man, it WAS broken! ian just texted pa naman asking on the status. so i texted all the CF night prowlers. leola, therese, dana, and ned. First to answer was leola. Unfortunately, she couldn't go online. Then ned called... then dana texted.
Since i was already conversing with ned and he had broadband internet (meaning fone while online), i asked him to monitor the bid. Hah?! We were outbid? No! So I texted Ian:
me: bro, na outbid tayo at 500
ian: add 50 more
me: ned, 50 pa raw
ned: highest bidder na .... yung amount
me: eh yan din yun kanina, ibig sabihin may ka-tie
me: ian, highest bid na pero may ka-tie
ian: malamang siya din yun. 600
me: 600 daw ned. mamomonitor mo pa ba?
ned: highest bidder na. di na eh....
me: ok... paano kaya...
me: bro, my laptop broke down, di ko na mamomonitor yung bid. last 40 mins to go
ian: saan dito (i assume nag-online na siya)
me: log in ka sa account ko
then... no more load. hahaha!
the next day, i learned from ian that he was able to win the lamp. so i'm getting it for him tom. yun lang.
walang kwenta yung blog no? hahahaha!

sarap ka-movie, sarap ka-greenwich!
well it started with a text ian sent me about 930 am today. it said: "Hey yall. Want to get a chance to appear in the next greenwich commercial? Wer shooting at greenwich valero st. Makati. D store is open and dyr taking ala behind d scenes shots of real people in d store be realistically fun enough and you might just be picked. Bring your friends!:-)"
so i went online and started asking people if they wanted to come. i had dana and ned text everyone (tnx again, guys). i also posted over cbr.com and ym. soon enough texts came poouring in. so i arranged for everyone to meet at paseo de roxas around 3pm (shoot was from 10 am til 6pm).
well prompt as ever, only cha and i were there on time. actually, the two of us went directly to the shoot coz we were familiar with the area as we both worked there plus it was only 230pm. when we arrived there we immediately saw june (PA), mike(STAGES), and mang dodong(DRIVER). from them we gathered that ian was fast asleep in his car. he had little sleep the night before because of his concert with ogie and shin. straight from the airport, they went to the shoot. no opportunity to rest other than his car.
anyway, mike, cha and i went inside the store and just chatted. shan arrived. more chat. then ian was asked to resume shoot. so he went inside to deliver pizza to one table. he sat with them and talked with them. pizza arrived (this time for our table... free of course). then ian sat with us. chatted while the cam was rolling. then he went outside and brought some pizza to the peeps taking a break from office (unfortunately the pizza he brought was ours!!!!). then he came back to our table, sat down, chatted (how many times has this word been used? just goes to show we were really doing nothing). then he was called again to shoot final scene... then pic taking w/ greenwich staff and customers. then changed his shirt, back to our table again (we were the only familiar faces amongst the sea of strangers... well not sea really, more like a lake... or a river... or should it be a brook... nah i'm exaggerating... it's more like a puddle... a puddle of strangers).
i then gave him a printed copy of the comments posted on this blogsite (see "Christian the Actor" post) and an illustrated version of one of my fave books--Sun Tzu's Art of War. guess what we did next... yeah, we chatted. at least we (CFs) did, ian read the comments. you could see his concentration as he read all 18 comments. then someone approached him and showed him a prototype of the lifesize christians that will be found in gwich stores soon. he then read some parts of the book and used the sample pic as bookmark. then chat again (will we ever get past this activity?). after a while, he asked what was being shown in cinemas.
aina:"machinist"
ian:"what's that?"
me:"christian bale" (like that answers the question)
ian:"no... not in the mood for that"
me: "sa GB3..."
ian:"wag dun, mahal masyado"
us:"nagkuripot na naman po" (joke! duh, you don't actually believe we said this to his face, right?)
me:"glorietta 4... the island"
ian:"yun! what time's that?"
me:"510"
ian:"need to go to carlo's mom's bday by 8. abot kaya?"
me:"sa _________, oo naman. 750 next screening eh. so mga 720 tapos na yun"
ian:"sige. nood tayo. ano game kayo?"
us:"yeah, sure."
ian:"sige. una na ako sa inyo. i need to find light for the laptop pa eh"
us:"ok"
ian:"alright see you guys there. mga 5."
so he left. we all went home.
hah!
we went to glorietta. we arrived before ian did. when he arrived he asked me to buy some food (i wont tell you why he had to ask me). when i returned, tickets were bought so we went in. we got some seats next to a necking couple. sat down and watched the movie. the neckers moved, so we occupied their seats (we were originally split in two rows).
some comments here and there. lots of eating for ian. some gruesome parts (not so gruesome for me but yucky enough for ian to stop eating and sarcastically comment "sarap kumain"). lots of intense action parts. some shallow philosophical parts. some can-you-be-less-obvious-of-the-moral-of-the-story parts. one absolutely unnecessary bed scene.
then, the movie's over. assesment and comments. bathroom. go to swatch. talk about kampanera while we circled the activity center looking for swatch. arrive at swatch. look at watches. inquire about the 69k, 100+ diamond pieces watch for women. chat with swatch big boss. consider buying the diamond studded watch. realize price. pic taking with everyone who comes to the store to admire ian and not the watches. chat and more chat with us. browse magazine featuring androgenous photos of champ. wait for car. leave bag w/ ipod, cell, cell, and wallet at store. get forgotten bag from jerome. say bye everyone and thanks. then group split up for shopping then home/gimmick/attend bday.
ay... finished at last...
yeah right! pwede bang walang add'l info?
- the island, as ian and i observed, is a lot like the matrix from concept to action scenes
- ian kept commenting on how much ads were integrated into the movie
- ian agrees w/ the comments, lorenzo's too bland a character
- ian will have a crying scene (he's proud of it)
- lorenzo will pine for imang because imang will... oops... too much of a spoiler if i reveal... hehe
- ian will visit his indo fans for 10 days... two weeks from now
hope you enjoyed!

Ian at Bacolod
-------------------------------------------------------
Here it is! Thanks much, dayds!
3 of a Kind Blog
Bacolod City

When I learned about the concert I contacted the CF Bacolod to plan for the coming of Ian. Nagpagawa kami ng t-shirt and we were constantly communicating in preparation for the concert (first cf bacolod concert gimik to). Si Lits, Daxx and Alerose ang una kong nakausap and then Kenneth, who said he’ll be coming to Bacolod to watch the concert (by the way he’s from Dumaguete, Negros Oriental pa). My sister decided to come home from Iloilo to also watch the concert. So 6-kaming CF ang manonood (supposed to be 9 dapat kaya lang Cris is already in Dubai, Chin is in Cavite and Reng is in Bulacan) plus my officemate and her cousin.
Everybody was so excited in the prospect of meeting Ian as for some of us will be first timers (ako feeling ko first time ko pa rin). I was constantly communicating with Jude and Kuya Migs to help us with meeting Ian.
The day before the concert we had a final meeting (Alerose, Daxx and me lng) what time to meet, where, gifts for Ian and if we could meet him-worried na kasi kami because Kuya June was not replying to my txt hehehe. Nabuhayan kami ng loob when Jude forwarded to me Ian’s message that he will meet us and that we just have to coordinate with Kuya June.
I slept late that night for I had to prepare the things I need to bring (cds, pictures, posters, shirts, rambutan, camera, pentel pens, necessities for my sleepover etc.) di naman ako masyadong excited ano?
July 29
On my way to the office Alerose informed me of Ogie, Shin and Ian’s schedule and that they already arrived (Shin’s mom texted her). I txt Kuya June then to ask if can we meet Ian. Kuya’s reply came around 12 and it said that Ian could only meet us 3pm sharp at the Grand Regal Hotel because of their hectic schedule; it was his only available time. I felt my excitement for the concert drained out from me, I could not go and meet Ian at that time because we were having our cluster assessment and it was my turn to report that afternoon. I informed the others of the appointment and told them to go and grab the opportunity to meet Ian even without me. Honestly I really felt sad (who would not? I was looking forward to that meeting with Ian).
Lits came to the office to get the shirts, I asked her to bring my “Nasan Ka Man” cd and have it signed by Ian, I also gave her the pins (na nabura na ung pirma) and then the rambutan. I told her to say hi to Ian for me na lang. I called Kuya June to tell him that some CF were going to the hotel and he told me na ipatxt na lang daw sya pag nasa baba na sila. Lits, Daxx and Kenneth were the ones who made it to the hotel.
While reporting I was so conscious of the time and the beep of my cel (kahit nakadiscreet yun hehehe). I felt better when Lits and Daxx txt me that they met Ian and obvious na obvious sa txt na nasa cloud 9 sila.
A flicker of hope came to me when my sister came and informed me of Alerose txt. She had set an appointment with Tita Russell to meet Shin at the hotel at 6 pm (both are CF and also members of rag.com). I informed kuya June and asked if I could meet Ian. He said di nya sure kasi baka daw mag nap si Ian pagdating sa hotel after rehearsals and then I told him ok lang kung ano man sa kanya ko na lang ipapaabot yung bibigay namin kay Ian.
Ate Mavel (my officemate-yung kumalabit dati kay Ian para mapansin ako nung notc), Dorris, Alerose and I went to the Grand Regal Hotel. At ayaw kami papasukin ng guard, Alerose was the one doing the explaining. I guess it was because Ian, Shin, Tita Russell and Kuya June were already in the hotel and eating diner (kita kasi sa labas) and halatang sila ang sadya namin (andami naming bitbit eh). I called Kuya June (kinain ko na ang hiya ko) and told him na ayaw kami papasukin and may ibibigay lang kami kay Ian kung pwede. Ayun lumabas ang kuya hehehe and I introduced myself and my companions. Kuya talked to the guard and led us to the waiting are of the hotel and he resumed his dinner. Kung di ako tumawag kay Kuya June, Alerose could have called Tita Russell para makapasok kami.
While waiting aba gusto talaga ata kaming palabasin, another staff approached us and asked if we were relatives daw and then I told him, kilala namin road manager ni Christian and we were waiting for him (hehehe kakahiya at si kuya June pa ang ginawang rason) ayun di na sya humirit pa. The hotel staff we’re staring at us (like we were weird or something) actually nanliliit na ako sa upuan ko pero according to Kuya Migs ala mangyayari sakin kung mahihiya ako. And I wasn’t even looking at Ian or anybody there, di ko na rin masyado nakusap mga kasama ko.
Buti na lang di pa sila tapos kumain I had a chance to collect my guts before I face lolo hehehe and when my sister excitedly said “Te anjan na sila”, gosh ito na…..
Ian, Shin and Kuya June were walking towards us (grabe sila pa lumapit samin, tinginan ngayon yung mga hotel staff). Kuya June told us na bilisan lang namin kasi magbibihis pa sila.
Alerose and my sister is also a big fan of Shin and they went to her first (alerose and shin knows each). I waved hi at Ian and mejo malayo ako ang sabi ng lolo “Bat jan ka nagha-hi?” That was my cue lapit ako sa lolo (ala na ang hiya at di na tameme hahaha) I shook his hands (anlambot hehehe) and I asked him if he still remembers me and kung alam nya pangalan ko (aba inaakbayan na ko nun ng lolo, uy kinikilig ako). At lalo akong natuwa when he answered “Dayds”.
Ian: San kayo nakaupo?
Me: sa 350 lang kami, sa gilid sa left siguro
Ian: Left ko left nyo (with matching actions pa yun)
Me: ahhh (di ko sure eh ala ata ako naisagot) basta makikita mo kami
Ian: Malalapitan ko ba kayo?
Me: Di ko alam siguro. Basta don’t worry makikita mo kami, may posters kaming dala.
Then I handed him the shirts to be signed. He asked me “Sino nagpagawa ng shirts?” sagot naman ako “kami”. I asked him san sya sa shirt magsign, tinuro ko yung sa may print sabi nya sa baba na lang. I had him signed 4 tshirts and some pictures. While signing he asked me “2nd time ko pa lang sa Bacolod no?” and yes it was his 2nd time.
Alerose had a charcoal drawing of Shin and had it signed and the first thing that Shin noticed about the drawing was the butterfly necklace. She called Ian to see the necklace in the drawing. They were all awed Ian, Shin and Kuya June. Ganda kasi ng drawing. Sabi ko nga si Ian na lang walang ganun (alerose gave sarah, mark and rachelle her drawings of them).
Picture picture dun hehehe (di pwedeng wala) with Ian, with Shin, di na namin naisama si kuya June, sayang.
I handed Ian a list of names, sabi ko eto ang mga nagpasabi ng HI. Binasa nya out loud and he was smiling while reading (natuwa ang lolo). I told Ian that my baby brother is a big fan of his and then I introduced my sister Dorris,
Ian: Hi sister ni Dayds. Dorris, yung kasama ni Nemo?
Me and my Sis: Hindi si Dory yun, nanay namin nun
Ian: Ano pangalan ng kapatid nyo? Nemo?
Me and my Sis: hahaha Hindi, Moses.
komedyante rin ano?
I asked Ian then if we could still meet him after the concert and he said no (and he had an apologetic _expression), and I told him ok lang yun (pagod na rin kasi sya). It was then Kuya June reminded us na kelangan na nila umalis. I thanked Ian (nakipagkamay uli-di na ko nagkiss hahaha di na kinaya ng powers ko) and Kuya Jhun and Shin (she’s very nice). Si Kuya June ang nagbitbit ng mga bigay kay Ian and Shin and sa kanya.
We bid them goodbye and lots of “salamat” for meeting us and to Kuya June and he apologized pa pala kasi di daw sya nakakareply agad kahit kay Jude.
And by the way those people who were watching us earlier like we were intruders also joined in taking pictures of Ian and pa-autograph. Naging photographer pa ko ng isang hotel guest nun hehehe
We saw Tita Russell after Ian and Shin left and we greeted her and thanked her for the opportunity (I was really thankful if she hadn’t agreed to our meeting with Shin I wouldn’t have met Ian hehehe). We kissed her after we thanked her and bid her goodbye.
When we left the hotel the guards were all smiling at us, natuwa na sila sa amin hehehe and nagtatatalon ako sa labas kulang na lang tumili ako. It was so great and napunta uli ako sa cloud 9 (pero ibang level na).
We went to La Salle coliseum as Lits and Daxx were already there and reserved a seat for us and we met Kenneth along the way. Di na magkamayaw ang kwentuhan about our experience in meeting the stars we were all so overwhelmed. Kung magkwentuhan akala mo matagal nang magkakilala pero to think yun lang ung time na nagkasama kami lahat.
Only Lits and I wore the shirt (thanks to Jude-it was his design) and while waiting we were showing each other what pictures and stuff we had.
The concert started around 9 (pero 7 pa lang andun na kami) but sad to say di napuno ang coliseum, anluwag, but nevertheless the audience was very energetic kaya masaya pa rin ang concert.
Binabandera na namin ang posters and tili to the max ng “we love you ian and Ian andito kami” nung magsimula na ang show.
Later on we taped the posters on the railings (4 ang dala ko) that we could move freely and jumped whenever we like.
Here is the list of the songs they sang
So its you- Ian and Shin
Let the love begin- Ian and Ogie
So its you-Ian, Shin, Ogie
I’m every woman-Shin
Medley (shin)
Through the rain
They
Love takes time
I still believe
Don’t cry out loud
Medley (Ian)
The way you look at me
Hands to heaven
Color everywhere
After he sang CE nagkwento kwento pa si Ian and then he said “Asan ang mga CF dito (WE WERE SCREAMING) and then Ian said ‘ayun’ pointing at us”.
Grabe ang saya namin at hinanap kami ni Ian hehehe. After that he said, me gimik daw eh, he got the roses (na hinihingi namin earlier dun sa isang staff at di kami binigyan) and bumaba ang lolo sa stage and I think he was going to give out the roses while singing “kailan pa ma’y ikaw”, nagtatalon kami shouting “Ian” kaya lang iba talaga appeal ng lolo natin dinumog kaya dun lang sya naglakad lakad sa harap ng stage di na kami inabot. We assumed that maybe kung di sya dinumog baka nalapitan nya ang CF (kasi di ba earlier he asked kung malalapitan nya kami) sayang talaga.
Then it was Ogie’s turn (dito buong buo ang mga kanta)
Bongga ka Day
Bakit ngayon ka lang
Hello
Kailangan Kita
Kailangan ko’y ikaw
Huwag ka lang mawawala
Hanggang ngayon with Shin
Never too far- Shin
You and me- Ian and shin
Sumayaw sumunod-Ian, Ogie and Shin
At sumayaw ang lolo cute cute nya ha. He even asked the audience to dance.
It was a great show yun nga lang bitin kasi ang konti lang ng kinanta nila. Ian has so many fans here (proven when he started to sing and di na marinig ang kanta sa dami ng sumisigaw).
Funny thing pala a lot of people were asking for my posters, akala nila pinapamigay kasi nga nakasabit sa railings. Meron nga isang babae kinukuha nya na yung isang poster buti na lang nakita namin at sinabihan namin di pinapamigay yun at humirit pa sya na madami naman daw, sabi ko naman personal collection ko yun kaya di pwedeng ipamigay.
We went backstage hoping to catch a glimpse of Ian again (sa labas lng naman kami). We saw Kuya June and para kaming cheering squad nung bumati hehehe and ang bati sa amin ni kuya two thumbs up. Daxx had a card for Ian and ambait ni kuya June (kahit na busy na sila dun) he took time to insert Daxx’ card inside Ian’s bag.
The CF was able to take Ian’s pic inside the van with Kuya June taking the pics and because Tita Russell opened her window for us (bait talaga) naiabot ang cam kay kuya June.
We were the last ones to leave the backstage, picture pa kasi kami and that time kasama na namin si Ate Erna (aunt ni Shin-magkakilala na kasi sila ni Kenneth and Alerose)) and she went with us when we had dinner. Cool kasama ang saya namin at nakipagsabayan pa sya ng kulitan sa amin.
We all became friends after that concert and we are looking forward for more cf gimiks together.
It was a great experience and one of my wishes came true. Ang galing no? God is really so good to me. My wish always comes true. Dati I wished to meet Ian, and then see him perform again, meet the CF and then my latest wish was for Ian to remember me and he did YEHEY YEHEY. Its very heartwarming and I really appreciate it.
Tinupad ko na rin pangako ko kay Ian that when he comes back here (after NOTC) kahit pano organized na ang CF Bacolod kahit konti pa ang hehehe
Having a fellow CF here in Bacolod and watch the concert with them was fun (at least di na ko nagiisa ngayon) and we all clicked together. Another thing I noticed about the CF (here and there) mahilig tayo sa KULITAN kaya magkakasundo tayo.
Thanks a lot for the help Jude, Kuya Migs and Ate Lorns and Ate Ivy (for tolerating my pangungulit hehehe) and everybody, love you guys.
Kuya June maraming salamat sa opportunity and most especially to Ian for the time.
Till next time guys and I’ll say this again IBA TALAGA PAG CF, THE BEST!!!!

asap 05 at sfo
he danced. and based on a lot of comments people seemed to like it. and i tend to agree (just a little bit though). while he's still no gary v., ian has certainly improved. just goes to show that he really does try his best to achieve what he lacks. so to those who find him lacking as an actor... beware! hehehe. (see "Christian the Actor" blog for more details or comments)
i really liked his "tatlong bente singko" song. it made me reminisce my childhood when the payphones were red in color and required three pieces of 25cents to call. the phone was so bulky then! hehehe. ian gave a very nice rendition of this song, very enthusiastic.
"Magkakapatid" is of course a great song and i must say that ian was able to give a good rendition to this song as well. The melodious aspect of the song was definitely given a greater emphasis as he sang it while the other champs belted their own tunes. Ian was able to captture the simplicity and the meaning of this song.
I'm sure everyone in SFO enjoyed ASAP as much as we all did here.

Christian the Actor
Because of this, i've decided to open this topic here where you may share your thoughts... nothing rude though please... criticisms are allowed but let's not be vulgar...
i'll print it for ian to read. that's one great thing about him, he knows how to listen and appreciate all comments for his improvement. He works really hard to give what the people want.
i'll wait for those comments... =)

OT: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
This new installment to the HP series also produces sweet loveteams... hahaha! R & H are so funny... their story's kinda like all other romance flicks and books, but somehow, it feels cute. Maybe because you feel as though you're a witness to their growth and thus more affected with their feelings... The scene where H kisses G on the other hand is so cinematic that you can just picture how the movie would probably show this part.
I like Rowling's writing style in this one... she starts slow (almost boring) but by the time you get to the middle/end part, you're practically gripping the book, oblivious to all noises, lost in the world of Hogwarts. and when S kills D, you want to close the book and hurl it to S's head. Hahaha...
I'm so excited for the last book... book 7 will surely rock as much as this one does if not more! Will Hogwarts open once more, or shall the decision of the majority of the faculty rule and keep the school closed? We'll find out with the closing of the HP Series....
I wonder, tapos na kaya nina jordan at joshua to? Kung ikwento ko kaya kay ian ang storya? hahaha!

marikina: an after event blog
hi, just got home from marikina where ian performed for a benefit show. i had so much fun today. why? nanlibre si ian ng dinner eh. hahaha!
well, the real reason is that madami-dami pumunta ngayon... and man, did we have a blast, di ba, siggy? pagdating namin sa venue (jo, migs, cha, and i) straight na kami sa backstage. so we were chatting with ian about stuff like why's he always wearing long sleeves in kampanera, how to creae great pics using adobe photoshop, the rottweiler leola gave him, etc. tapos nagstart na yung show kaya the four of us went back to our seats na. dun nameet namin yung ibang CFs who arrived a bit later than us kaya di na nakasama sa likod. medyo chat muna ng konti... tapos start na.
giselle, who hosted the show, opened with a song from destiny's child interspersed with jokes... very funny girl. then the other performers sang, one even staged a miniconcert. haha! then it was ian's turn.
teka bukas a karugtong... inaantok na ako eh. nyt!
